Dubai Cares activation in Emirates Literature Festival
We are seeking Dubai-based volunteers that can join us at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, the Arab World’s largest celebration of the written and spoken word. We will be participating in the festival through an activation that will be hosted in the Family Oasis at the InterContinental, Dubai Festival City. The activation topic is "Learning through Play".
Date: March 1 – 2 and March 8 - 9, 2019
Time: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Volunteers: Male and Female volunteers who are 18 years old and above and are able to commit to several shifts during the weekend.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Engage with the visitors and take them through the activation (ensure that visitors truly understand the benefits of learning through play and its impact on children's development)
- Hand out flyers to visitors
Participating volunteers will be invited to Dubai Cares' offices after the festival to receive their certificates of participation as well as meet the team and Dubai Cares' CEO.
To participate in this initiative, please sign up through the UAE Volunteer Platform by the 25th of February, 2019. Volunteers will be selected on a first come first served basis. Selected volunteers will be invited to attend a briefing session at Dubai Cares' offices prior to the start of the festival.
