Dubai Cares, in partnership with UNICEF, supported a quality education program in Comoros. The program aimed to scale up the Competencies-Based Approach across all public and private primary schools to improve the quality of primary education, as well as the effectiveness and efficiency of education system management. These improvements, together with increased access and reduced disparities between girls and boys and among the islands of the country, contributed to higher retention and completion rates in primary education. A key element in achieving these goals was ensuring the availability of infrastructure for Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs to prepare all Comorian children for primary education and secure full enrollment. In addition, the program facilitated the expansion of the renovated Koranic School component by rehabilitating and renovating a significant number of these schools.
