Dubai Cares worked to maintain enrollment of girls and boys in assisted schools at pre-crisis levels through school feeding coverage. As part of this program in Gaza, Dubai Cares provided students with a daily food ration of one 60g fortified date bar which was purchased from local suppliers. Under the general supervision and coordination of WFP, the program was directly implemented by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for the Gaza Strip elementary schools.
