The program is supporting the construction of 3 primary Schools in Malawi and further supports the provision of 18 months of adult literacy and life skills classes to 60 women in each school. Moreover, it gives parents and community members an opportunity to contribute to an average of 700 volunteer days for the construction of the schools, in addition to capacity building catered towards teaching and community-based projects.
Through the Primary School Construction and Adult Literacy Programs, Dubai Cares aims to achieve the following:
• Increase access to education for girls and women
• Improve primary school infrastructure
• Increase literacy rates among adults
