Dubai Cares, in partnership with Oxfam GB, supported the government and stakeholders in improving the efficacy of the education system in Niger. The program also supported the improvement of the management of national education resources, quality and gender equality within the teaching system.
In addition the program also focused on improving access to basic education in pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in the Tillabery region of Niger.
The program focused on:
• Direct intervention in Tillabery region (access and retention, quality and community participation in school governance)
• Supported appropriate policy formulation and implementation
