Dubai Cares worked towards adopting a holistic and integrated approach to improve early childhood education in Vanuatu through several components such as quality of instruction, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) facilities, nutrition, and child protection. The intervention also addressed parenting support and improved the quality of service provision at early childhood centers to enhance school readiness and the transition from pre-school to primary school. The program aligned with the Pacific Multi-Country Program (2013-2017) and with the Ministry of Education’s Early Childhood Development strategy.
