In partnership with Beacon of Hope, Dubai Cares has been selected by Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) as one of the main partners to manage and implement the Reading Nation Campaign. Launched in 2016 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the campaign aims to distribute 5 million books to children in refugee camps and schools in need around the world. As the official philanthropic organization and implementer of the campaign, Dubai Cares was approached by Beacon of Hope — a non-profit initiative founded by Sheikha Shamma Bint Sultan Al Nahyan — to join forces and further the campaign’s mission to promote literacy and create a positive impact on children and youth globally.
