Dubai Cares worked on providing quality primary education in flood-affected districts of Dadu and Shahdadkot. The program tackled major barriers to girls’ access to quality education, including immediate interventions of school rehabilitation and provision of teaching and learning materials.
It also focused on the medium intervention of teacher training and capacity building of stakeholders for long-term impact.
The program focused on:
• Rehabilitation of 19 schools, including renovation of classrooms and sanitation facilities
• Provision of a safe learning environment by equipping schools with learning materials and furniture
• Training of teachers on interactive teaching methods and use of different learning materials
