Dubai Cares, in partnership with UNICEF, designed a program to address high levels of exclusion of children based on ethnic and economic grounds. The program aimed to strengthen the capacity of communities to develop short and long-term responses in order to increase equality and inclusion of children through a multi-dimensional approach that involved all actors in communities including children, service providers, parents and municipal governments.
The process of sustaining systemic change in communities was achieved through professional development, training and workshops for service providers working for children and through the development of documents (standards, modules and analysis) to assist the program implementers.
