Dubai Cares supported an education program in Niger that addressed significant gaps in access to quality schooling, especially in rural communities where functional primary schools, preschools, and basic infrastructure such as clean water and sanitation were largely absent. The program aimed to create healthier and more inclusive learning environments by improving school facilities, providing essential supplies, and integrating life skills into the curriculum. It also promoted community and family participation in school governance to strengthen local ownership of education outcomes.

The program focused on reducing gender and geographic disparities by increasing girls’ school attendance in targeted communes, boosting primary school enrollment rates, and narrowing the gap between rural and urban school participation, particularly for girls.
