Empowering Underprivileged Youth Through Skilling and Education

At the heart of building a sustainable and inclusive future lies the empowerment of youth. Equipping young individuals with the right skills and opportunities ensures that they can lead fulfilling lives, pursue meaningful careers, and contribute to the development of their communities. Today’s rapidly evolving world demands more than traditional education; it requires innovative approaches that foster creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on expertise.

Dubai Cares has always been at the forefront of initiatives designed to bridge gaps in education, promote lifelong learning, and empower underserved youth. By focusing on youth skilling programs, we aim to provide young minds with the tools they need to unlock their potential and transform their aspirations into reality. This vision aligns seamlessly with the values of L’ÉCOLE Middle East School of Jewelry Arts and has paved the way for an inspiring partnership.

A Unique Partnership: L’ÉCOLE Middle East and Dubai Cares

The partnership between L’ÉCOLE Middle East and Dubai Cares is rooted in a shared commitment to empowering youth through education and skills development. Together, we are creating impact by equipping young people with the knowledge and expertise they need to thrive in their careers and communities.

L’ÉCOLE Middle East, the first permanent campus of the School of Jewelry Arts in the region, is dedicated to making the world of jewelry arts accessible to all. By opening its doors to enthusiasts, students, and professionals alike, L’ÉCOLE is fostering creativity, craftsmanship, and curiosity in the Middle East. Through this partnership, L’ÉCOLE is not only introducing learners to the artistry and science behind jewelry, but it is also giving back to the global community by supporting Dubai Cares’ youth education programs.

Proceeds from L’ÉCOLE’s public courses and talks are donated to Dubai Cares to support youth skills programming. This ensures that underserved youth around the world can access opportunities to pursue their careers, realize their aspirations, and overcome barriers to opportunity. Together, we aim to amplify the transformative power of education and create lasting change for future generations.

About L’ÉCOLE Middle East

Established in 2012 with the support of Van Cleef & Arpels, L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts aims to introduce the public to all aspects of jewelry culture. It is an initiation school, open to everyone – complete beginners as well as enlightened amateurs, collectors and those with a curiosity for the world of jewelry.

L’ÉCOLE offers courses in three major fields: the history of jewelry, the world of gemstones and the savoir-faire of jewelry-making techniques, taught by art historians, gemologists, jewelers and artisans. The classes are all practice-based and the students experiment with gestures, skills and tools, guided by their lecturers. It also offers other activities: exhibitions, books, videos, podcasts as well as in-person and online talks. Creative workshops were also created for children and teenagers.

L’ÉCOLE now has five permanent addresses: two in Paris, one in Hong Kong, one in Shanghai and one in Dubai.

Moreover, since its inception, L'ÉCOLE has regularly held talks, exhibitions and traveling course programs abroad in Europe, America, Asia and the Middle East, with these programs typically lasting one to three weeks. L'ÉCOLE School of Jewelry Arts therefore contributes to the promotion and visibility of jewelry culture on an international scale. By blending traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, L’ÉCOLE Middle East fosters an environment where creativity thrives and knowledge is shared freely. The school’s commitment to education, accessibility, and community aligns perfectly with the mission of Dubai Cares.
