Dubai Cares held a recognition ceremony earlier today at the Meydan IMAX Theatre to recognize the efforts of schools that participated in the Dubai Cares Student Fair, in attendance of principals, teachers and students representing 41 schools in Dubai.

Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Cares said, “The UN Universal Children’s Day, now in its 23rd year is celebrated every year on November 20 to promote the welfare of children globally. Against this backdrop, Dubai Cares decided to acknowledge the tremendous efforts of the schools and their students in Dubai who participated in our Student Fair, an initiative launched with the support of the Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and aims to make children aware of the difficulties that their counterparts in developing countries have to face in accessing quality primary education.”

Tariq Al Gurg and Fatma Al Marri, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Schools Agency at KHDA addressed the students following which a photo slide highlighting some of the school activities and events for the Dubai Cares Student Fair was showcased. All participating schools were presented with a certificate of appreciation for their support and efforts. In addition, The Kindergarten Starters School was presented with a plaque of appreciation for raising the highest amount of funds.
