The Emirati eye-catching Burger campaign, created by Burger King, the global hamburger fast food giant, raised over AED 188,000 as part of its limited edition of UAE national flag colored burger initiative in support of Dubai Cares’ efforts aimed at improving children and young people’s access to quality education in developing countries.

Combining the fast food giant’s CSR commitment with its reputation for innovation during the Year of Giving 2017, the striking green, white and black burger was sold wrapped in a red sleeve to reflect the colors of the Emirati flag. And for the first time in the brand’s history, the famous Burger King logo was also changed - redesigned in the same familiar national colors.

Although it was only sold for a limited period across the UAE to mark the 46th UAE National Day in 2017, the Emirati-inspired burger far surpassed all expectations by raising AED 188,000 in less than a month.

Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Cares, commented: “The enthusiasm shown by the UAE community for the Emirati Burger shows us just how influential partnerships with leading FMCG brands can be. This was a marvelous example by Burger King of how creative thinking and a commonplace product can capture the attention of consumers in support of a worthwhile cause, and, as an organization that’s always searching for inventive ways to engage our community; we look forward to forging similar partnerships in the future.”
