Dubai Cares,in partnership with Pratham Foundation, worked toward ensuring that marginalized children are able to read, write, and do basic math. The program strengthened three core components in six states over a period of three years. These core components included Read India III: This campaign aimed at enhancing the learning levels of beneficiaries in rural government schools, in language and math, through learning camps. The learning camp provided a very visible and dynamic demonstration of how learning can change in a short period of time without a huge amount of resources. Urban Early Childhood Education: This component aimed at providing school readiness among children in the 3-5 years age group through physical, social, language, cognitive and emotional development, and early literacy & numeracy skills among children in grades 1 and 2. Central Resource Group: The CRG is comprised of four distinct but inter-related functions, namely, content creation, R&D, training and advocacy.
