Dubai Cares, in partnership with GAIN, supported a School Feeding Program in Bangladesh that aimed to ensure access to health and nutrition services for students, alongside the necessary resources to enhance their intellectual and physical development. The program provided daily hot meals to 167,250 students through a cluster kitchen school-feeding model, with 45 schools receiving meals prepared in 8 operational cluster kitchens. Program activities included food supplementation, quality control and capacity building, advocacy and social mobilization, integration of critical interventions, monitoring and evaluation, procurement, women’s empowerment, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and cost sharing.
