Dubai Cares funded a school construction program in Senegal that included the construction of five primary schools in the Thies, Fatick and Kaolack Regions. Each school consists of two fully equipped classrooms and seats for 150 students. The program provided parents and community members an opportunity to contribute to an average of 700 volunteer days for the construction of the schools, in addition to capacity building catered towards teaching and community based projects.
