Sentebale means 'forget me not' in Sesotho, the language spoken in Lesotho and was established in memory of the princes’ mothers – Dianna, Princess of Wales and Queen Mamohato. Sentebale works in partnership with local grass roots organisations and government ministries to transform the lives of vulnerable children via giving them access to healthcare and education, targeting those most in need.

The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is a professionally managed, non-profit organization set up in 1995 by a group of citizens concerned with the dismal state of education in Pakistan. It is now one of Pakistan's leading organizations in the field of formal education. As of 2014, TCF has established 1,000 purpose-built School Units nationwide with an enrolment of 145,000 students. TCF encourages female enrolment and strives to maintain a 50% female ratio in most of its campuses. TCF has a full female faculty of 7,700 members. About 11,500 jobs have been created in communities in which TCF operates. The vision of TCF is to remove barriers of class and privilege and to make the citizens of Pakistan "Agents of Positive Change".

The International Education Funders Group (IEFG) is an affinity group for foundations and donor-advised funds that support basic education (including early childhood through secondary, vocational and non-formal education, but not tertiary education) in the Global South. The group focuses primarily on learning and networking, trying to collectively strengthen its members' work and knowledge of the field. It does not seek to directly influence education policy agendas and spaces, but rather helps private funders have a stronger voice and impact in education by improving their strategic analyses and thinking, informing and assisting their grantmaking, and providing opportunities for collective learning and action. To date, the IEFG has 75+ member grantmakers (foundations, donor-advised funds, corporate giving programs, and charities).
