Dubai Cares, in partnership with Mahboba’s Promise, funded and worked towards the rehabilitation of 2 schools; the Abdara Girls’ School, as well as the Abdara Boys’ School in the Panjshir Valley. The main objective of the program was to provide basic facilities for a safer and more positive educational experience. The program also ensured children attended the school regularly and provided supportive learning environment to encourage them to remain in school.
Program activities included:
• Construction of new roof for Abdara Girls’ School
• Plastering and painting the walls of Abdara Boys’ School
• Installation of a new solar panel in the school
• Furnishing both schools with new desks
