Dubai Cares, part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, has completed another successful edition of its Volunteer Emirates initiative. The popular initiative, which supports UAE non-profit schools and education centers, saw more than 200 volunteers from across the UAE come together to dedicate their time and efforts to enrich the learning environment of the Gulf Model School in Dubai. The initiative benefited more than 2,600 primary schoolchildren enrolled in Grade 1 and 2 by providing desks and chairs for teachers and students; books and playground toys, essential stationery and backpacks.
“Following the success of our previous community engagement initiatives this year, Dubai Cares is delighted to host another edition of Volunteer Emirates in the Gulf Model School,. Our primary objective from this initiative is to ensure that children in non-profit schools and from low-income families have equal opportunities to learn and prosper. By enhancing the learning environment and providing essential supplies to the teachers and schoolchildren at Gulf Model School, we are confident that teachers and schoolchildren will be encouraged to participate in education with greater enthusiasm and achieve better learning outcomes.
