ARED

ARED is a non-governmental organization based in Dakar (Senegal), West Africa. Founded in 1990, our mission is to promote quality education in African languages, for local communities, through training, publication, pedagogical innovations and action research. Since 2009, with the support of "The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation" and recently with Dubai Cares, ARED works with the Ministry of Education to provide a response to the improvement of students' performance in reading/writing and mathematics through a bilingual model (national languages and French) covering 208 classrooms and involving more than 10,593 students in the first four years of elementary school. ARED also works in the design, testing and scaling of original tools dedicated to partners in West Africa (Mali, Burkina, Niger, Chad, Mauritania, Benin, Togo, etc).
