Dubai Cares will be organizing 4 Volunteer Emirates trips throughout the year each dedicated to providing the selected non-profit/charity school in the UAE with their required needs. Two trips will be organized in Quarter 2 and Quarter 4.
The first edition of Volunteer Emirates took place on April 27, 2013, where more than 100 volunteers from the UAE community joined Dubai Cares in renovating and enriching the educational environment for the students of Umm Al Qura Private School, a non-profit school in Umm Al Quwain. The volunteers were involved in landscaping and painting work, assembling and installing new playground and classroom toys, as well as providing new sports and music equipment.
Volunteers of the second edition of Volunteer Emirates 2013, which took place on May 25, 2013 in Basateen Kindergarten in Dubai, assisted in drawing murals in the school hallway, main hall-room as well as the Kindergarten playground. The volunteers also helped in assembling and installing new toys and equipment in the playground area, making the premises safer and more enjoyable for the children.
The third edition of Volunteer Emirates was joined by 100 volunteers to revamp the premises of Dubai Kindergarten Development Centre in Dubai. The volunteers worked together to complete over 10 murals across the school, enhancing the learning environment for the centre’s young children.
Finally, Dubai Cares wrapped the fourth and final edition of Volunteer Emirates 2013 at Senses Residential and Day Care Center for Special Needs where the volunteers interacted with the children and participated in sports day activities as well as arts and crafts sessions. In addition, Dubai Cares donated safety tiles and a new shade, which will be installed in the playground area as part of the center’s improvements to making the center safer to the children.Back to listing
