Dubai Cares organized the 2011 edition of Volunteer Emirates, an initiative launched by the philanthropic organization in 2008 to mobilize volunteers, UAE residents and various sectors of the UAE community (i.e. business, government and cultural) in support of local initiatives.
On October 22 and 29, Dubai Cares volunteers helped enrich the learning environment at Manar Al Iman Private School, a non-profit school in the Emirate of Ajman. The work done by the volunteers was based on the school’s requirements, as identified by a needs assessment conducted by Dubai Cares. Some of the work included: painting murals on playground walls, re-tiling 2 lab rooms and the stair entrance of the school, assembling 100 chairs and tables, installing air conditioning units in classrooms, installing doors and windows, revamping the playground with new toys and landscaping areas around the campus.Back to listing
